In November 2024, the Campaign for Grade-Level Reading hosted a GLR Learning Tuesdays session exploring the Collective Caregiving frame, a powerful new communications strategy designed to mobilize communities and build systems that help every child thrive. Developed by the FrameWorks Institute and Leading for Kids with support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) and the Children’s Hospital Association, this new frame has been demonstrated to increase the salience of kids’ issues and to shift mindsets that dampen support for policies that support children and families that our systems have historically and persistently left out. Recognizing that culture change and movement building is generational work, RWJF is now providing funding to support the promotion and implementation of this frame, sharing it with national leaders and other funders. Join us for this funder-focused conversation to learn more about the Collective Caregiving frame and RWJF’s plans for implementation, while hearing from other funders about the ways in which they are working to shift the narrative around children’s issues.
