Credited Webinars:

Sharon Hopper is the Director of Literacy Professional Learning at Hill Learning Center in Durham, NC. Prior to joining the team at Hill, Sharon served as a district literacy specialist where she coached teachers and developed elementary ELA curriculum materials for Durham Public Schools. In 2004 Sharon first transitioned from her elementary classroom to the district office where she served as the Reading First Coordinator for Vance County Schools. This led to other opportunities to collaborate with the work of the NC Department of Public Instruction Director of Literacy Professional Learning, Hill Learning Center in the development and statewide delivery of the course Reading Research to Classroom Practice. The work at Hill is most satisfying as the focus on developing courses and tools to bring the research into a practical application for teachers is the most impactful way to improve outcomes for students. Sharon is the proud mom of 3 amazing children, one of which is a current student at Hill Learning Center where she is thriving as a result of direct, systematic instruction and highly skilled teachers. That is something ALL children deserve!
