Muneer Karcher-Ramos is the inaugural Director of the Office of Financial Empowerment at the City of Saint Paul, which exists to advance economic democracy that shares prosperity with all Saint Paul residents. His team at the City of Saint Paul advances programs and policies that address the racial wealth divide and extractive economic practices, including: CollegeBound Saint Paul (the citywide college savings account program starting at birth), guaranteed income programs, fair housing strategies, worker and community ownership approaches, fines and fees justice, and more. He is a Children and Family Fellow at the Annie E. Casey Foundation.
