Megan Thompson

Megan has a degree in Health Promotion from the University of Northern Iowa and over 15 years of experience in the Health and Human Services field. Prior to working with MICA, Megan worked for a local non-profit providing education and support services for young women. She joined Mid-Iowa Community Action (MICA) in 2013 and has filled the roles of; 1st Five Care Coordinator, Maternal Health Case Manager, 1st Five Site Coordinator and is currently the Project Director for 1st Five. Her experience with the 1st Five Program has given her the opportunity to engage in trainings and consultations with medical providers, enhancing well-child visits for 0–5-year-olds. Megan is a trained Ages & Stages Questionnaire trainer and has worked with several medical practices to implement standardized developmental screenings for young children.
