Kristen E. Reed is a Managing Project Director at the Education Development Center and co-directs EDC’s Young Mathematicians projects. She has over 20 years of experience in education as a teacher, curriculum developer, professional development facilitator, and researcher. She leads studies that support families, schools, and communities to promote children’s mathematics learning, persistence, and problem-solving skills in formal and informal settings. A former elementary school teacher, her work reflects her commitment to highquality mathematics learning experiences that include strong school-family partnerships and leverage technology. She has presented at local and national conferences and authored publications on mathematics education and teacher professional development.
