Kenneth Mason has worked for the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB) for the past 20 years as a School Improvement Consultant. In this role, he has provided technical assistance and guidance to K-12 schools throughout the United States in their efforts to create quality, learning environments for all students.
Kenneth was appointed to the Georgia State Board of Education in 2011 by Governor Nathan Deal and represents metro Atlanta in the Fifth Congressional District. Mr. Mason has also served as an active leader within the National State Boards of Education (NASBE) particularly with the equity, literacy and early education workgroups. Kenneth will serve as the incoming board chair for the Georgia Foundation for Public Education in 2024. Mr. Mason resides in the East Atlanta area with his wife and 11-year old son, DuBois, and 9-year old daughter, Chloe Soleil.
