Jules Appleton

Jules Appleton manages First Book’s research initiatives, from designing and conducting qualitative interviews and focus groups to robust quantitative surveys and longitudinal studies. First Book conducts as many as 20 studies annually, to inform First Book’s work, the broader education and social sector fields, as well as conducting commissioned research for companies, leading education experts, and others interested in using data to improve product design and learning opportunities for children and educators in low-income communities. She holds an M.A. in Intercultural Service, Leadership & Management from the School for International Training.
