Joan Kelley

A former classroom and reading teacher, Joan spent over 10yrs in the Language Diversity & Literacy Development Research Group at Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE).  She left HGSE to design a scalable, low-cost way for families & schools to work together around reading development, age 3 to grade 3. Why? Because learning to read demands a collaborative effort. Abound helps families know enough about learning to read to understand their role in the process and grow key reading skills at home – through reading together and conversation.
