Jessica Schubel is the former special assistant to the president for health care and founder of Day One Strategies, where she helps to advance health and aging policy. Before joining the Biden White House, Schubel worked at CBPP where she examined Medicaid and other coverage issues. Prior to that role, she served as the senior policy adviser to the federal Medicaid director at CMS during the Obama administration and previously worked at DC’s Medicaid agency. A native western New Yorker, Schubel graduated from Syracuse University and the George Washington University, and now lives in DC, with her dog.
