Gladys Montes

With nearly 30 years of experience in the field, Gladys R. Montes has devoted her life to helping young children get off to the best possible start in school and life. A champion for high quality early childhood education, Gladys joined United Way of Miami-Dade in 2004 to spearhead the creation of the United Way Center for Excellence in Early Education and its Demonstration School. As vice president of the Center, Gladys is at the helm of a collaborative project that is changing the way people define school readiness in Miami-Dade and across the nation.
