Eric Bucher, Ed.D. (he, him, his), is an assistant research professor of early childhood policy at The Children’s Equity Project at Arizona State University. Dr. Bucher is a first-generation college graduate and holds a Doctorate of Education in Leadership & Innovation from Arizona State University. His research focuses on equity in early care and learning systems, child care policy, Head Start and Early Head Start, and for the early childhood workforce. Dr. Bucher’s 17 years of early childhood experience includes directly teaching children birth to age 8, developing content for preschool programs at a science museum, designing professional development, managing local and national early learning grants, and leading in state and county government agencies. He also serves on the First Things First Phoenix North Regional Partnership Council and the Special Education Advisory Panel to the Arizona Department of Education.
