Christina McLean grew up in Durham, North Carolina, and graduated from Elizabeth City State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. She currently works in Finance at Duke University. Guided by her deep faith in Jesus Christ, Christina loves serving others and values respect, trustworthiness, and honesty. Other than spending time with her children, she enjoys following tennis, planning events, and volunteering.
Christina is the mom to two beautiful children. When her older child Lauren was born in 2013, Christina enrolled her in the five-year Book Babies program of Book Harvest, a children’s literacy nonprofit based in Durham. In October 2021, upon its kickoff, Christina enrolled Lauren in Book Babies Bright Futures, a $500 college-and-career savings program for all participants in and graduates of Book Babies. Christina sees the benefits of these supports for parents and their children up close and very personally.
