Bishay Faris is the Manager of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Teacher-Leader Pathway (TLP), one of the largest and oldest Advanced Teaching Roles programs in the country. A former teacher and instructional leader, Bishay transitioned to supporting the program in 2018, serving first as Coordinator and then as a Specialist before becoming Manager. During his tenure, TLP has grown from 51 to 107 participating schools, with new schools added every year. Bishay has a Bachelor of Science degree from Molloy University, a Master of Science degree from Mercy College, and a Master of Arts degree from GardenerWebb University. Bishay is currently working on his Ph.D. dissertation at North Carolina A&T State University. He is also a National Board-Certified Educator and holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources certification from HRCI.
