Allison Logan received her undergraduate Degree in Music Education in 1994. Working at John Lyman Elementary School, an arts integrated and HOT School, she fell in love with teaching young children and was especially interested in how the arts influenced a child’s learning and development. It was at this time that Allison received her master’s degree in early childhood development and coauthored a teacher training curriculum (Total Learning) that focused on incorporation of arts strategies into classroom environments to advance literacy and numeracy skills, as well as wrap-around services to support the families of the students. She traveled the country working with school districts, teachers and children. In 2010, Ms. Logan began working in Bridgeport, CT as an embedded coach in numerous elementary classrooms throughout the city. In 2015, she became Early Childhood Manager at the United Way of Coastal Fairfield County, under Bridgeport Prospers, their StriveTogether, Cradle to Career, Collective Impact Initiative. It was here where she and community partners focused on the prenatal to three years, through the creation of the Bridgeport Baby Bundle- a bundle of both universal and targeted supports, along with authentic community engagement. The nationally recognized “Bundle” was awarded one of ten, three-year, community investment grants by The Pritzker Children’s Initiative. In 2018, Allison became Executive Director of Bridgeport Prospers and was able to help advance the impact of the Baby Bundle throughout the city, including the advancement of developmental screening, expansion of Reach Out and Read, increasing access to Doula care, and the honor of being the first pilot site for the state’s ARPA funded Universal Home Visiting pilot with Bridgeport Hospital. Ms. Logan recently transitioned out of her role in Bridgeport and now is the CEO/Founder of Logan Consulting & Company, LLC, continuing to advance PN-3 best practices, policies, and supports to other communities, with a keen focus on the transformation of statewide PN-3 systems. Allison lives in Southington, CT with her new husband Richard and her 22-year-old son Michael, who recently graduated from Western CT State University with his Music Education undergraduate degree.
